Labor

Posted on January 23, 2023February 10, 2023 by

What am I doing here?
Where am I going?
All questions asked
By those worth knowing

A lifetime of learning
Is not nearly enough
To see, and do, and go
Oh yeah, that’s the stuff

Earnestly we strive
Navigating our route
Opportunity so vague
One wants to shout

Still, we keep on
Seeking good things
Praying for luck
And all that it brings

I’m 39 years old and I am probably around halfway through my life. Instead of panic or despair, I wrote Labor to help me understand that even now, with 39 years of experience, I have things to keep striving for and plenty of growing left to do. No matter how many setbacks I have or how often I feel like giving up, I’m on this journey with a lot of other folks that feel the same way I do.
