Lean

Posted on January 24, 2023February 10, 2023 by

Into me, you sway
Warmth for my bones
Strength loaned for awhile
Thankful for another day

The moment is brief
Full of care
A smile creeps in
Happy for relief

Thank you for a life
Earnestly shared with me
Love is a tender breeze
With you as my wife

I wrote Lean after one of those moments where my wife was leaning into me, and I was leaning into her, both physically and emotionally, and we took a few moments to rest. The preceding time had been tough on both of us and after taking a moment to rest, we were able to continue with our difficulties.
